you can't spend two weeks in dallas without a side trip to fort fun! we spent two nights this time... i think next time we might need three.

father's day 2015

 

father's day is in september down under. kp wanted to take the family to mount kosciuszko national park in our new ride. we spent most of the day in the car (lb narrowly avoided plowing down a kanga on the way home), but managed an hour or so at the river. we'd brought along a picnic, but the kangas were a little too inquisitive (and hungry!) for us, so we ended up eating most of it in the car.

i tried a million times to reproduce this shot of my mom and me with M... i could never quite get the angle and composition right. this one is not right, but i like it. i think i see the same mixture of love, gratitude, and sleeplessness in our eyes.

looks like bob found himself a new kitty daybed while we were away... it has made for some crowded diaper changes.

belly shots (warning - there's a lot of skin here)

i really loved my belly. the bigger and rounder i got, the more i loved being pregnant. we don't know if we'll want another baby... but i would risk GD all over again to get that huge belly back. and to feel baby kicks.
