a few weeks ago we went to the jazz festival at the marché aux puces (antique/flea market) in st. ouen. this is a very well-known parisian flea market that we have carefully avoided until now because of its size (huuuge! i prefer the smaller versions) and location (far from us). but not long ago, a couple of my very favorite parisiens moved into an apartment smack dab in the middle of st. ouen, so we've changed our tune.
delph and fan fan
side note: i met delphine online in 2006, when i answered her ad for a conversation exchange. it wasn't long before we were hanging out as friends, though, since we soon discovered we have a lot in common (we both like to dance, we like to make art (well, i entertain myself with scissors and glue. delphine actually paints), we both love to travel...) i was looking to practice my french but i made a good friend too. what luck!
it was a great day - good friends, groovy old stuff to look at, music on nearly every corner, dancing, cool weather...it was a little too cool for june, if you ask me, but it gave me an excuse to break out my new leather jacket, and knox looks so cute in that scarf...
really, who could ask for a better sunday afternoon?
